What does the first consultation involve?
Our first conversation is unhurried and without obligation. We listen to your circumstances, explain what the process typically involves for situations like yours, and answer your questions as fully as we can. You are not expected to make any decisions during or after that first meeting.
How long does it usually take to settle an estate in Malaysia?
Timelines vary considerably depending on the complexity of the estate, the number of beneficiaries, and whether the deceased left a valid will. Straightforward matters can often be resolved within a few months, while more involved situations may take longer. We will give you an honest and realistic outline once we understand your particular circumstances.
Can you help if there is no will?
Yes. Where no will has been left, the estate is distributed according to the relevant Malaysian legislation. We can explain how this applies to your situation, assist with the necessary applications, and guide the family through the process with care.
Are your fees transparent from the outset?
Yes. Our service fees are stated clearly. Legacy & Succession Guidance is RM 240, Document Handling is RM 287, and Formal Representation begins from RM 325. We discuss what each involves so you know what to expect before committing.
Is my family's information kept private?
Absolutely. Professional confidentiality is a cornerstone of how we work. Your family's situation and the details of the estate are held in the strictest confidence and will not be shared with anyone outside the engagement without your consent.
Can I make an appointment for someone else in my family?
Of course. It is quite common for a family member to reach out on behalf of a parent, sibling, or relative. Please do get in touch and we will discuss how best to proceed in a way that suits everyone involved.
